Time to get the rod and reels ready, as the annual kid’s fishing derby takes place tomorrow.
It will be the 26th year that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineer Savannah District will be holding the event, and as in year’s past, it will take place on Richard B. Russell Lake.
This year’s event will be held at the Blue Hole Recreation Area, located on Highway 81 in Calhoun Falls, SC.
Gates open tomorrow at 7:00am, and fishing hours are between 8:00am and 1:00pm.
All participants should bring their own fishing gear, bait, sunscreen, chairs, drinks, snacks, and protective gear.
