2nd Annual Jack Frost Jump Raises Close to Four Thousand

The Elbert Memorial Hospital Foundation’s 2nd Annual Jack Frost Jump raises several thousand dollars for the hospital.

The jump was held this past Saturday, January 12th out at the Richard B. Russell State Park beach area.

Event Chair Donna Seymour said, “We were excited about the great turnout and enthusiasm this event brought, and we are very grateful for the support from the community.”

According to Seymour, there were seventy-five jumpers, and well over two hundred and fifty spectators. She says by the end of the event, that the foundation raised approximately $3,700.

 

 

Also, new this year at the jump was a costume contest, which was held about thirty minutes before the plunge. Winners for the inaugural contest were Sue Cone and her grandson Ethan Cone.
