Pre-registration for the 3rd Annual Elbert Memorial Hospital Jack Frost Jump has ended, but that doesn’t mean that sign ups have been halted.
The end of pre-registration is only significant for those participants that wanted to be guaranteed an event t-shirt.
According to Elbert Memorial Hospital Foundation Chair Lee Vaughn, the Jack Frost Jump is going to be a fun filled event.
“We’ll have a costume contest at the beginning, because a lot of people like to dress up in crazy costumes, and after that is over with, we will all line up and jump into the icy cold waters of Lake Russell”, said Vaughn.
Each participant is asked to raise a minimum of $25
The Foundation is still encouraging businesses, churches, and clubs to sponsor a team for the jump.
Proceeds from this year’s event will go towards the establishment of a special endowment said Vaughn.
“Donna Seymour brought this event to the Hospital Foundation, and this was her baby, and she did a really good job with it, and so this year all the proceeds will go towards the establishment of the Donna Seymour Endowment”, explained Vaughn.
Sign in and late registration begins at 10:30am this Saturday. The costume contest gets underway at 11:00am, and the plunge into Lake Russell follows at 11:30am.
Application forms can still be picked up at the Elbert Memorial Hospital Foundation office, and online registration continues at www.emhcare.net.
