All of the winners with their Dutchys.

Over the weekend the Elbert Theatre hosted the 4th Annual Dutchy awards for the 2012 Encore Productions theatre season.

Elbert Theatre Director Toni King said that well over a hundred people were in attendance, and that everyone there had a great time.

“We had a bunch of entertainment, and kids doing shows from their camps, so that was a lot of fun”, said King. “Of course getting awards and giving out awards is a very good time.”

King also pointed a funny incident that involved ‘Cotton Patch Gospel’ Director Mike Fernandez.

“When they awarded crowd favorite and best director for Cotton Patch Gospel, director Mike Fernandez was getting ready for a skit, and he was in drag when he had to come out and accept his award” said King. “They deserve that, and both of those awards were well deserved, and I was excited for them.”
