The spring sports season is just now beginning to wind down for the Elbert County Comprehensive High School, but the True Blue Booster club is already looking to start raising money for next year.
A 50/50 raffle is planned for this weekend at the Elberton Elks Lodge on Saturday, April 27th at 7:00pm.
Elberton Main Street Director Sissie Herring talked about how the raffle is going to work.
“What we are going to do is split the pot, we are hoping to sell all three hundred tickets, that ticket will get two people in the raffle so they can eat, and a chance to win the $10,000 prize”, said Herring. “True Blue will get $10,000 and the winner will get $10,000.
Tickets will cost one hundred dollars a piece, and again, there will only be three hundred tickets sold.
Herring says there will be more going on that evening other than the raffle.
“There’s going to be lots of different games being played as well to give you a chance to win other prizes if you don’t want to participate in the raffle”, said Herring. “We are also planning on having some silent auction items as well.”
Tickets for the raffle are on sale now, and can be purchased by contacting the Elbert County Athletic Office at (706) 213-4138.
