The 6th Annual Granite City Cook-Off was held on the downtown square in Elberton this past Saturday.
Several grill masters and vendors participated in the event, and provided delicious barbeque and other items to all those in attendance.
The competition portion of the cook-off featured three different categories including Chicken, Ribs, and Pulled Pork. All three categories had different winners this year.
Best Chicken was awarded to David “Tater” Cleveland, Best Ribs went to Dexter Allen, and the Pulled Pork winner was Jody Hall.
All the money raised during the cook-off goes to fund scholarships for students at the Elbert County Comprehensive High School. Last year the cook-off was able to fund three five-hundred dollar scholarships for high school students.
