Alexander Will Succeed Eaves in January

November 7, 2012

The race for the District Three County Commission seat between Republican Chris Alexander and Democrat Tim Case proved to be the most clear cut local race out of the three taking place in Elbert County.

Chris Alexander handedly won his district with 1,023 votes compared to Tim Case’s 580 total votes. Alexander claimed nearly 64% of the total vote, while case managed to just over 36%.

Alexander said he was grateful for the voters of District 3.

“I just would like to thank all the voters in District 3. I am encouraged by the victory, and I look forward to working for them”, said Alexander.

Tim Case could not be reached last night for his comments on the election results.

Alexander will take over for current District 3 Commissioner Frank Eaves, who chose not to run for re-election after this most recent term.
