The American Red Cross is already preparing for its next blood drive in Elbert County after coming off a pair of very successful drives.
Over the last two months, two blood drives have been held in Elbert County where a total of 117 units of blood were donated over those two drives according to American Red Cross Donor Recruitment Manager Janet Jarrett.
Jarrett says roughly 25 percent of donations come from high school and college students, and with school not being in session for the summer, she says its key that people step up and participate in their local community blood drives to help prevent a blood supply shortage.
The First Baptist Church of Elberton will be the location for the next American Red Cross Blood Drive, and will be held between the hours of 2:00pm and 6:00pm on Monday, June 9th.
