The Elbert Memorial Hospital is planning a blood drive set to take place early next week.
Elbert Memorial Hospital Foundation Executive Director Nancy Seymour says that the community has always stepped up for the annual blood drive.
“AnMed Health has been our blood bank center for numerous years and the community has always come forward to help keep the blood bank in good supply,” says Seymour.
The drive will take place on Tuesday, May 21st from 11:00am until 4:00pm.
The AnMed Health Bloodmobile will be parked in the Laurel Drive visitor/employee parking lot.
Seymour is really hoping for another strong showing by the community when it comes to donating blood.
“We just hope the community will support the blood bank we always want to make sure we have ample supply and of course summer time there’s a lot of vacation going on and a lot of needs for blood. So those who have time next Tuesday, please drop by and give blood for us,” says Seymour.
Setting up an appointment to donate is preferred and one can be set up by contacting Nancy Seymour at (706) 213-2558.
However, if you can wait for a bit, then walk-in donors will be graciously accepted during the blood drive.
