Blue Devil Basketball Squads Defeat Oconee

The Elbert County Blue Devil basketball squads travelled to Watkinsville, Georgia yesterday to take on the Oconee County Warriors. Both squads came away with victories.
The Lady Devils had trouble getting their shots to drop early in their game with the Lady Warriors. However, by the end of the 2nd quarter the Lady Devils were on fire and on an 18 to 4 run that saw them up 29-21 at the half. Coming out of the half the Lady Devils would continue their dominance and win 66-41. Jimerra Hill was the Tri-County Technical College player of the game with 18 points. Bri Moon had 15 and Kara Ledbetter coming off the bench had 12.
The Blue Devils also came out slow in their game in Oconee County. The Blue Devils led at the half 37-31.  Terell Hughs led with 13 points going into the half and would come out in the second half continuing his good play. Hughs would be named the Tri-County Technical College player of game as he finished with 18 points. Randy Jones would have 13 and Ben Routh 12 in the 78-59 victory.

The Blue Devil Basketball squads will be back in action to take on Hart County this Friday in the Inferno.
