The Blue Devils were set to face Hart County in the Consulation Game to decide who would be the third and fourth seed moving into the State Tournament. The Blue Devils got off to a slow start against the 2-3 zone ran by Hart County as they were down 15-9 at the end of the first quarter. Early in the second quarter the Devils were able to catch back up and keep the game close but allowed the Bulldogs to get up 31-25 going into halftime. The Bulldogs took their lead to ten at one point during the third quarter but the devils cut the deficit to eight with a score of 51-43 heading into the fourth quarter. The Blue Devils finally started to put things together late in the fourth quarter and pulled within two of Hart with under .20 seconds left in the game. However, the Devils were not able to pull out the victory and took their first loss of the season against rival Hart County 61-59. Ben Routh lead in scoring for the Blue Devils with 21 points and was named Tri-County Technical College Player of the Game. With this loss the Blue Devils will go into the State Tournament seeded fourth
The Lady Devils took on the North Oconee Lady Titans, a team that has had the Lady Devils number this season. The Ladies took an early lead in the first quarter but North Oconee was able to cut the lead down and come with one with an 11-10 score at the end of the first. It was a tight score second quarter which would end with the scored tied at 24. Cyiarra Hill was leading in scoring for the Lady Devils with 11 points going into the half. The Lady Devils started falling behind in the third quarter and were down 38-30 starting the fourth quarter. The Ladies made a hard run at the end to no avail and lost again to North Oconee 52-39. Cyiarra Hill led in scoring for the Lady Devils and was named Tri-County Technical College Player of the Game.
The Lady Devils will be at home in the Inferno to start the State Playoffs on Tuesday February 19th; the boys will be on the road Wednesday. Opponents will be announced later.
