Blue Devils and Lady Devils Defeat East Jackson

The Elbert Basketball squads welcomed the East Jackson Eagles to the Inferno Tuesday night.

The Lady Devils made quick work of the Lady Eagles. The Ladies got off to a huge lead early in their game against East Jackson as they had a 39-14 lead against the Lady Eagles going into the half. Cyiarra Hill led at the half with 12 points and Keke Glaze had 8. The Lady Devils would continue to dominate in the game as they would finish with a 64-36 victory. Cyiarra Hill led with 20 points in the game and was named Tri-County Technical College Player of the Game.

The Blue Devils got off to a slow start as they trailed throughout the first quarter and second; however, were able to close the gap and take the lead before the half with a 34-32 score. Marc Moon led in scoring for the Blue Devils at the half with 7 points. The Blue Devils would come out in the third quarter and extend their lead to ten, and continue that extension through the fourth and finish with a score of 75-57. Marc Moon led the way with 20 points and was named Tri-County Technical College Player of the Game and Ben Routh had 13.

The Blue Devils basketball squads will be back in action this Friday, January 25th as they travel to Franklin County to take on the Lions at 7:00.
