Blue Devils Season Come to an End in Cartersville

The Blue Devil basketball squad travelled to Cartersville to take on a tough opponent in the Purple Hurricanes.

The boys got down early in the first quarter but made a comeback about midway through and claimed the lead at one point; however, the Devils trailed at the end of the first. The second quarter saw the Purple Hurricanes jump out to large lead of seventeen, but the Blue Devils were able to cut the deficit down to ten with a 43-33 score going into halftime. Marc Moon was leading the team in scoring with thirteen points and Terrell Hughes had nine.

The Devils really started to fall behind in the third quarter as they were down 75-52 at the end of the third going into the final quarter. The fourth quarter was much of the same for the Blue Devils as they just struggled to keep up with a dominant Cartersville teams. The Blue Devils lost 103-74 in the first round of the State Playoffs. The Blue Devils were able to put up the second most points scored against the Purple Hurricanes this season. Seniors Ben Routh had sixteen points in his final game as Blue Devil and Terrell Hughes had eighteen. Marc Moon led in scoring for Blue Devils with twenty-four points and was named Tri-County Technical College Player of the Game.
