The Blue Devils continue to roll in region play, improving to a 2-0 record against region opponents thus far.

Hosting the Oconee County Warriors Friday evening, the Blue Devils had high expectations, looking to build some momentum after the prior week’s drumming of East Jackson.

The Blue Devils jumped out to quick 10-0 lead early in the first half, but Oconee County answered back to draw the score to 10-7, however Mecole Hardman didn’t let hope linger too long for Oconee as he added his second touchdown on the evening giving the Blue Devils at 17-7 lead.

The Blue Devils never trailed in the contest and a great touchdown run by Boochie Reid sealed the deal in the later portion of the ball game.

Final score on the evening 37-20 in favor of Elbert County; with the win the Blue Devils improve to 3-2 on the year with an undefeated record of 2-0 in region play.

The Blue Devils are home again this Friday, taking on the Bulldogs of Morgan County.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30pm, and coverage on 105.3 WSGC begins at 7:00pm that evening.
