Bomb Threat In Jackson County School Yesterday

May 2, 2014

A second bomb threat in as many days at another Jackson County school yesterday.

According to Classiccitytoday.com, students were instructed to evacuate Maysville Elementary school yesterday afternoon after yet another bomb threat was discovered on a restroom wall.

The Jackson County School System released a statement saying, “While the statement was written in what looks to be child’s handwriting, Jackson County Schools will err on the side of student safety and evacuate MES until the building has been cleared by trained officers.”

On Wednesday, East Jackson Comprehensive High School was cleared out after the discovery of a bomb threat on a restroom wall at that school.

Several law enforcement agencies were called in to search the facility for explosives, fortunately none were found, but the investigation into who may have made that threat continues.
