Bond Set for the Three Arrested at Rose Hill Motel

Bond has been set for three individuals arrested after a search of their motel room resulted in drugs being located.

The arrests were the result of Elbert County Sheriff’s Office investigators assisting the Abbeville County Sheriff’s Office, who were investigating a series of thefts in South Carolina, follow a lead which led them to the Rose Hill Motel.

Investigator Captain Darren Scarborough with the Elbert County Sheriff’s Office says four people were in the motel room searched.

“We went to the motel with the investigator from Abbeville County, These people gave us consent to search their room and what they had stolen from South Carolina is jewelry and jewelry boxes  and that kind of stuff, Says Scarborough.”

44-year-old Mitchell Ray Kelly, 42-year-old Amanda Joy Harrell, and Tiffany Marie Harrell age unknown, were arrested and all three listed the motel as their current address.

Bond has been set at $15,000 for both Amanda and Tiffany Harrell, as well as $15,000 for Kelly.

All three have been charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Related Object, while Tiffany Harrell is facing an additional charge of Possession of Marijuana Less than 1oz.

The trio currently remain in custody at the Elbert County Detention Center.
