The City of Bowman is moving in a new direction in regards to its legal representation.

In a decision last night, the council decided to relieve Attorney Doug Kidd of his responsibilities to the city.

The recommendation came from Bowman City Mayor Pamela Johnson, who made the suggestion that the council bring on Attorney Andrea Grant to take Kidd’s place.

A motion was made and put to vote, and in unanimous fashion, the council agreed to the recommendation from Mayor Johnson.

Attorney Kidd said he was grateful for the opportunity that the city of Bowman gave him.

“I appreciate you all giving me the opportunity to work with you all for the last three years”, said Kidd. “I have enjoyed it and I have enjoyed helping this city with its legal problems. Mrs. Grant is a wonderful attorney and will do a fine job for the city.”

Grant is expected to step in immediately and begin to handle the legal work for the city of Bowman.
