Bowman City Council Extends 2013 Budget Through February

January 29, 2014

It seems that the city of Bowman is holding off on adopting a new budget for 2014.

That news out of Monday night’s regular meeting of the Bowman City Council.

Bowman Mayor Pete Gibbons said the delay is due to not really getting to look at the previously read budget put together by former Bowman City Mayor Pamela Johnson.

“We all had agreed that since none of us had really been able to look at the budget that was read prior, and there were some changes we wanted to make going forward, and we would like to table the budget as it was read before”, said Gibbons.

A motion was passed unanimously by the council to table the approval of a new 2014 budget until council had a chance to suggest any changes they would like to make.

The council then approved another motion to extend the 2013 budget through February 2014.

Mayor Gibbons said that a new budget will be presented at the council’s next regular meeting in February.
