Bowman Man Arrested on Drug Charges after Wednesday Traffic Stop

A Wednesday afternoon traffic stop leads to the arrest of a Bowman man.

According to the incident report, the traffic stop was conducted on Thirteen Forks Road just inside of Hart County just after 4:00pm.

Further investigation led deputies with the Elbert County Sheriff’s Office to find a substance called Methadone.

As a result, 35-year-old Mark Edward Moore of a Bowman residence was arrested and charged with one count each of Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance, Drugs to be kept in Original Container, DUI Drugs, Failure to Maintain Lane, and a felony Probation Violation.

Moore was transported to the Elbert County Detention Center after his arrest.

No word at this time if bond has been set or posted.
