Bowman Man Behind Bars After Allegedly Stealing Son’s Car

A Bowman man is behind bars after allegedly stealing his son’s vehicle.

On Monday, Elbert County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a motor vehicle accident in the Nickville Road area.

After arriving on scene, deputies spoke with Christopher Eaves, who stated that his vehicle had been stolen.

He said that his father had taken the automobile.

An investigation by deputies led to the arrest of 54-year-old Jeffery W. Eaves of a Sand Hill Road address in Bowman, GA.

Eaves was charged with one count each of Theft by Taking of a Motor Vehicle, DUI Drugs, Driving While License Suspended, and Failure to Maintain Lane.
