The official make up date for the annual Bowman Parking for the Park Cruise-In Car show is set.
Saturday June the 15th is the new date for the car show.
Bowman Special Events Coordinator Pete Gibbons says that this car show plays a big role in the restoration of the Bowman City Park.
“This is an important event for us in Bowman, as all proceeds go to benefit the restoration of the city park, so we want to do everything we can to get as many cars as we can to help benefit the park, which benefits the community”, said Gibbons.
The car show will feature live music from the band Borderline, and food and drink will be sold at the event.
There is a twenty dollar entry fee for anyone wanting to enter a vehicle of any kind, as Gibbons says they will welcome anything with wheels.
All money raised during the event will go towards the Bowman City Park, and Gibbons talks about some of the projects that have been completed at the park with the help of the annual car show.
“A lot of good things have been done through previous car shows, which as allowed us to install new playground equipment, add a new net at the tennis courts, and has allowed us to purchase new picnic tables for the park’s pavilion area”, said Gibbons. “So the money brought in from previous car shows has really done a lot to help restore the city park.”
The car show takes place on the Bowman Square from 4:00pm until 7:00pm on Saturday, June 15th.
To enter a vehicle in the car show, you can pre register by calling the Bowman Special Events hotline at (706) 567-0975 or by messaging the Bowman Special Events Facebook page.
Gibbons also says that participants can enter their vehicles on the day of the event for the same twenty dollar fee.
