Thanksgiving is nearly here, but right around the corner is the month of December, and the City of Bowman’s annual Christmas Parade and Bazaar.

The Bowman Special Events Committee is now accepting applications for baked goods, holiday gift, and arts and crafts vendors for the event. The committee is also accepting applications for those who want to participate in the parade.

Bowman Special Events Coordinator Pete Gibbons said there will be no cost to enter the parade.

“It is free to participate in the parade, we just ask that groups follow the theme and dress their floats accordingly. In regards to the Bazaar there will be a ten dollar fee for vendors to apply”, said Gibbons.

The Bazaar begins at 10:00am and will run up until 4:00pm on Saturday, December 1st; with the parade slated to begin at 2:00pm.

The parade will begin at the Bowman City Park and will run through Bowman’s downtown square. This year’s parade theme is a “Winter Wonderland”.

Applications for vendor spots or parade applications can be picked up at Bowman City Hall, by contacting (706) 567-0975, or by visiting the Bowman Special Events Facebook page.
