As if things haven’t been crazy enough for the Bowman Special Events Committee, they are getting ready for their 4th Annual Parking for the Park Cruise In car show, which is taking place this Saturday.

Gibbons says that the car show normally takes place in June, but that they are moving it up to take advantage of the cooler weather, as well as hoping to attract more cars by being one of the first car shows of the year.

He says they are also coordinating with the Granite City Shriner’s Club Motorcycle Ride, which is also taking place this Saturday.

“The Shriner ride will end at 4:00pm in Bowman just as the Cruise In is getting started, so we hope to draw them in and entice them to become a part of the show as well”, said Gibbons.

An entry fee of twenty dollars is all it takes to enter the car show, and a cash prize will be awarded to the best car as chosen by judges and the crowd.

For more information about the car show, or to register for the show, contact (706) 567-0975 or visit the Bowman Special Events Facebook page.
