It’s been over a week since spring officially started, and with the arrival of spring soon follows one of the city of Bowman’s biggest events.
That event is the annual Big Iron Crank-Up, which is an enormous festival that takes place at two separate locations in the city of Bowman; the downtown square and the Bowman City Park.
Bowman Mayor Pete Gibbons says everything is going to keep in line with what has been seen at past festivals.
“Pretty much be the same format as past years, but we are adding a few things”, said Bowman Mayor Gibbons. “Georgia Antique Engine Club will be at the park, we will have vendors, food, and music on the square, and we will also be holding a car show and a car swap meet down at the park.”
This year’s annual Big Iron Crank Up is slated to be held on Saturday, April 19th, with the traditional bingo night to preface the event on Friday night in the Bowman Community Center.
