Charges Filed in Traffic Accident that Took the Life of a Bowman Man

Charges have been formally pressed against a Bowman man for his role in a fatal traffic accident that occurred this past Wednesday evening.

57-year-old James Randall Guest has been charged with Driving Under the Influence and Following too Closely.

According to Tracy Watson, from the Georgia Department of Public Safety Public Information Office, Guest’s Chevy pick up truck struck the back of 24-year-old Harley Kane Thomason’s car while traveling down the highway.

The impact caused Thomason’s vehicle to travel into oncoming traffic, where the vehicle collided head on with a Dodge pick up truck.

The incident happened in Madison County on State Route 172 around 5:00pm on Wednesday.
