The Elberton City Council now officially has their Fiscal Year 2014 budget adopted.
During a called meeting yesterday afternoon, the council held one more public hearing to receive any comment on the budget, and similar to the council’s first hearing, there were no written or oral comments to be made.
City Manager Lanier Dunn prepared the FY 2014 budget, which is a combined amount of $33,064,187.
Included in that amount are the city’s General Fund budget ($4,616,153), Solid Waste Fund budget ($881,056), and the ElbertonNET Technology Services Fund budget ($3,586,393).
The budget was approved by council with a unanimous vote of five to zero.
