Couple Arrested on Drug Charges After Tuesday Traffic Stop

Another traffic stop lands a couple in jail facing drug related charges.

According to a press release from the Elbert County Sheriff’s Office, a call was received about a suspicious vehicle with no tag on the Calhoun Falls Highway.

A deputy responded and initiated a traffic stop on the suspicious vehicle, which after further investigation, led to the arrests of two people.

Arrested was 39-year-old Ralph Gerald Jordan of Greenwood, SC on charges of Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Tools During the Commission of a Crime; and 34-year-old Amanda Elaine Jordan of Carlton, GA on charges of Possession of Methamphetamine and two counts of Forgery and Giving False Information.

Both were transported to the Elbert County Detention Center after their arrests, where they currently remain in custody.

No word on if bond has been set or posted as of this time.
