A replacement has been found to fill a vacant seat on the Elbert Memorial Hospital Authority board.
In executive session, the board announced the replacement for long time board member Bob Hardy.
Daniel Graves, who is currently employed as Vice President of Elberton Federal Savings and Loan, is the man who will step in for Hardy.
Graves said that he is looking forward to working with the hospital board.
“I’m real excited and honored to get to join a dedicated group of individuals who have worked tirelessly to see our hospital succeed and overcome the challenges it faces”, said Graves. “I’m really just honored to get to be a part of that and to be serving with some wonderful individuals.”
Graves, a graduate from the University Of Georgia School Of Law in 2003, said he knows that he has some very big shoes to fill.
“I had the privilege of working for Mr. Hardy when I was in college, and I certainly learned a lot from him and I hope that I will make him proud and continue on with the legacy he established with the authority”, said Graves. “You won’t find a better man or better servant to Elbert County, and it is truly an honor to have my name mentioned in the same sentence as his.”
Graves has served on the Board of Directors of the Elbert Memorial Hospital Foundation since 2008, serving as Chairman of the Board from 2011-2012.
