Detention Center Detainee Faces Criminal Gang Activity Charges

A detainee at the Elbert County Detention Center, who has been incarcerated since December 6th of last year, is now facing charges related to criminal gang activity.

Adam Brady Dearman was arrested by Elbert County Investigators after his involvement in the shooting of a Bowman man in an incident that occurred last year. The Bowman man has since recovered from his injuries.

Elbert County Sheriff Barry Haston said that the new charges surfaced during a joint investigation.

“These new charges came about through a joint investigation between the Elbert County Sheriff’s Investigators and the Hinsville District Attorney’s Office. The case is actively being investigated, and further details cannot be released at this time”, said Sheriff Haston.

Several other individuals connected with Dearman have been brought up on an array of charges out of the Hinsville area which include Tampering with Evidence in a Homicide Investigation, Burglary, Entering Auto, Financial Transaction Card Theft, Theft by Taking, and Criminal Damage to Property.
