Detour Open House to be Held for Lincoln Co. Bridge Project on August 30th

A Detour Open House is scheduled for Thursday, August 30, to discuss Georgia Department of Transportation’s proposed bridge replacement project detour in Lincoln County. The meeting will be held at The Lincoln Center, 160 May Avenue in Lincolnton. The public is invited to stop by any time between 4 and 6 p.m.  No formal presentation will be given.

The proposed project is to replace the bridge over Soap Creek on State Route 43.  The existing bridge will be closed during construction and traffic will be detoured via an off-site detour route using State Route 220, Chamberlain S Ferry Road and State Route 47.

Lincoln County residents interested in learning more about are encouraged to attend, view displays and express thoughts and concerns with GA DOT representatives.
