Yesterday evening was the Elbert County Board of Commissioners turn to meet the Development Authority’s new Executive Director.
Authority Chairman Jackson McConnell introduced Beth Eavenson to the Commission, and she had a message for the commissioners similar to what she had for the Elberton City Council.
“Our community is becoming increasingly competitive thus innovative, and through your continued support we have been able to invest in these innovations that allow us to remain competitive”, said Eavenson.
At the request of Commission Chairman Tommy Lyon, Eavenson listed her entire background of college degrees.
She said, “I graduated from Lander University in 2010, I double majored in Political Science and Spanish and currently I am at UGA pursuing my Masters in Public Administration.”
Eavenson took over as Executive Director of the Development Authority on April 22nd.
