Devils Victorious In Final Game

Your Elbert County Blue Devils travelled to Franklin Countyto take on the Lions. Elbert came out the victor in their final game of the season.

Elbert received the opening kickoff. The Devils would waste no time as they would bust some big runs to drive down the field. Tim White would cap off the drive with a 4 yard run in to the endzone for a touchdown with not even a minute run off the clock. The extra point would take the Devils up 7. The Devil Defense would hold the Lions on their first drive and force a punt. The ball would roll to the endzone and the Devils would take over on their own 20 yard line. Elbert would drive down the field with some hard running plays but would be stopped short. The Devils would try to convert a 4th down on their own 5 but would not convert and turn the ball over on downs.

Franklin County would take over on their own 3 yard line. The Lions would not be able to get out of the whole and would be forced to punt. The punt would be returned to the Franklin 20 yard line for great field position for the Devils. With 55 seconds left in the first quarter Elbert would get to their own 2 yard line and again Tim White would take the ball in for a score. A good point after would extend the lead to 14-0.

Franklin would take the ball into the second quarter. The Lions would turn the ball over on a fumble that Elbert would recover on their own 27 yard line. The Devil Offense that has been stellar in the game would be cap off a drive with a 14 yard touchdown run from Tim White. The extra point would be no good for a 20-0 score. Elbert would get the ball back after a punt from the Lions with 1:44 left the Devils would run the clock out and take the game into the half up 20-0

The Lions would get the ball to open the second half. Franklin would drive to the Elbert 20 yard line but turn the ball over on downs. Elbert would take over on their 18 yard line. The Devil offense would keep the wheels moving with a huge run from Boochie Reed to get to the Franklin 30 yard line. The Devils would cap off the drive with a walk in touchdown from 5 yards out. The extra point would take the score 27-0. The Lions would get their first score with 3 minutes left in the third quarter. A good extra point would make the score 21-7. Elbert’s following possession would not be productive as they would be forced to punt. The Lions would take the ball into the 4th and final quarter.

The Lions would put a drive together in the 4th. They would gain to the Elbert 45 yard line then to the 16. 3rd and 10 on the Elbert 16 a bad snap would draw in the Devils secondary but would be picked up by the Franklin quarterback and thrown to a wide open receiver in endzone for a touchdown. The Lions would miss their extra point to take the score to 27-13. Elbert would get the ball back with just under 5 minutes left to play Tim White would rumble up the middle for a 27 yard touchdown score. The Devils would go up 34-13 with a good extra point. The Devils would get the ball back with off a turnover on downs and would go to the victory formation to end the game.

The final score Elbert 34 Franklin 13. Your Devils end their season having gone 5-5.
