Diamond Devils Lose Heartbreaker in North Oconee

The Elbert County Diamond Devils fail in a devastating loss to North Oconee on Monday, April 21st

The Devils would go up early in the 1st scoring 2 runs and would have a huge 3rd adding 5 more runs to go up 7-0. Bryce Bowen would start on the mound for the Devils pitching two shutout innings until the bottom of the 3rd 2 runs would get across, only 1 earned.

The 4th inning would see the Devils get 3 more runs across going up 10-3 to head into the 5th. Jackson Jordan would come in to relieve and the teams would head into the 7th and final inning with a score of 10-5 in favor of the Devils.

Elbert would not be able to get any more insurance across and the top of the 7th and the bottom would see the Titans offense explode. Six runs would get across and the Devils would fall 11-10. Bryce Bowen was named player of the game for his performance on the mound and offense at the plate. Bowen went 1-2, with 2BB, 2R, and an RBI.

The Devils will be back in action in a rescheduled game today depending if the weather holds up. That game will be aired live on 105.3 WSGC.
