Early Voting Starts Today in Georgia/Elbert County

October 15, 2012

“Here ye, here ye, the voting polls for the early voting precinct are now open for the November 2012 Elections.”

That was Chief Registrar of Elbert Charlotte Ward signaling the start of early voting.

Today is the start of the three week long early voting period in the State of Georgia, as well as in Elbert County.

Ward says that early voting is a very simple process for voters to participate in.

“The early voting process is so easy, anyone in the county can come into the office and vote, so be sure to bring a photo ID”, said Ward. “Our registration cut-off did occur on October 9th, if you have had a name change or an address change, we are just going to have to work with that and let you vote at the precinct you were previously living at.”

Those who want to vote early just have to stop by the Registrar’s Office between the hours of 8:00am and 5:00pm Monday through Friday, up until November 2nd.
