At the Elbert County Board of Education meeting held Monday night. The Board of Education approved the settlement settled between the schools selected insurance and Mr. Paul Garret. Superintendent Rick Higginbotham explains how the settlement will work.
“The Elbert County School system does not have to pay any money for that settlement, which is all being paid by the insurance company, and the agreement was reached between in the insurance company and Mr. Garrett’s attorneys”, said Higginbotham.
Also at the meeting, The Elbert County EMS agreed to use their DELTA alert software to let parents know of any weather situations occurring in the county.
