EC Sheriff’s Office Still Looking for Two Men Wanted for Truck and 4-Wheeler Theft

April 26, 2013

The Elbert County Sheriff’s Office is still looking for two men who are still at large after a chase in Bowman ended in a crash back on April 19th.

A deputy noticed a Chevrolet Truck that matched a BOLO from the Hartwell Police Department for a stolen vehicle.

The suspects failed to stop when the deputy tried to pull them over, and a chase ensued.

As the chase continued on Rehoboth Road, the driver lost control when they tried to make the turn onto Martin Road, which led to the vehicle crashing into a ditch.

K-9 units were called in and an extensive search was conducted after the suspects bailed out of the truck after the crash.

Further investigation revealed that the truck was indeed the stolen vehicle from Hartwell.

Anyone that may have any possible information on the whereabouts of the two wanted me should contact the Elbert County Sheriff’s Department at (706) 283-2421 or the Hartwell Police Department at 706-856-3226.
