Elbert Co. Sheriff’s Office to Host Citizens Firearm Safety Course

The Elbert County Sheriff’s Office will be hosting a Citizens Firearm Safety Course on October 15th and 16th.

The Class will start at 6:30pm and will be held in the Sheriff’s Office Squad Room. Certified firearm instructors with the Sheriff’s Office will teach the course.

The course will include fundamentals of firearm ownership, firearm laws, home safety, revolvers and semi-auto pistols, care and maintenance, safely loading and unloading the weapon, basic shooting techniques, live fire scenarios, and shotguns.

Anyone interested can contact the Elbert County Sheriff’s Office at (706) 283-2421 to sign up. The class will be limited to 24 participants per class, and classes fill up quickly.
