Elbert County Board of Commissioners Head Back to Work this Evening

January 9, 2014

The Elbert County Board of Commissioners head back to work this evening for a work session in advance of their regular meeting coming up on Monday.

It’s a fairly lengthy work session agenda for the commission this evening, as discussion is expected to take place on quotes for a camera system for the detention center facility, new gas pumps at the county shop facility, and patrol cars for the Elbert County Sheriff’s Department.

One item that has some weight to it is a discussion regarding funding for Economic Development on the May ballot for a county-wide vote, however, that same item is not on the agenda for Monday evening as it is only set for work session discussion.

This evening’s gathering of the Elbert County Board of Commissioners will be held in the commissioners’ work session room located inside of the Elbert County Government Complex.

Members of the Elbert County community are invited to attend the work session at 5:00pm, as it is open to the public.
