This evening the Elbert County Board of Education will hold their regular monthly meeting for the month of September.
Three people have requested to speak during the meeting, and they include the NAACP State President Edward Dubose, Bowman City Mayor Pamela Johnson, and Darlena Carey.
All three are expected to speak on the subject of the closing of Bowman Elementary, and their hopes of having the elementary school reopened in the near future.
Also during the meeting, the school board is expected to approve the millage rate for the 2013 fiscal year.
The meeting will be held at the Board of Education meeting room at their location off of Laurel Drive, and will begin at 5:30pm.
