October 10, 2013
By

The Elbert County Board of Commissioners will gather this evening for a work session to discuss items on the agenda for Tuesday’s upcoming regular meeting.

Typically the commission meets on the second Monday of the month, but due to this coming Monday being Columbus Day, the commissioners decided during September’s meeting, to push back October’s meeting date one day to Tuesday, October the 15th.

Expected to be discussed this evening during the work session is the possibility of reducing Elbert County to one voting precinct due to non-growth in the county, to reduce over budget costs.

The commission will also discuss some alternatives for growth and the development of economic development in the county.

This evening’s work session will be held in the Board of Commissioners work session room at the Elbert County Government Complex, and will begin at 5:00pm.
