The day has finally arrived that many in Elbert County have eagerly anticipated since November 2012, that day is beginning of the 2013 Elbert County Blue Devil Football season.
Elbert County Blue Devil Head Coach Sid Fritts says his team has been looking forward to starting fresh after a disappointing season last year.
“You can see their urgency and their desire to put everything in the past, and put everything forward to get better”, said Fritts. “They have worked extremely hard in the off-season and in the pre-season.”
Fritts feels good about this year’s team, saying that has to do with having the most seniors he has ever had on any team he has coached.
He says heading into this season, that he has high expectations for this year’s group of players.
“I expect them to play hard, I expect them to compete, I expect them to win, and I expect them to understand what they have to do after a win or loss to come back the next week and get the win”, said Fritts.
