Elbert County’s Local Option Sales Tax Agreement, also known as LOST, has now officially been approved by all three of the county’s governing bodies.
The City of Bowman made it official during their regular monthly meeting for the month of November yesterday evening.
The council voted unanimously to officially approve the terms that were agreed upon back in the summer months.
The City of Bowman will receive five percent of the revenue generated by the LOST, the City of Elberton will receive twenty-nine percent, and the county is slated to receive sixty-six percent of the revenue.
The new LOST agreement will be in place over the course of the next ten years in Elbert County.
