An Elbert County man is facing several drug charges after a State Probation search at his residence.
The search happened in the early morning hours on Saturday, when State Probation officers arrived at a Jaudon Road address.
Elbert County Sheriff Deputy Jorge Hernandez arrived on scene to assist with the search.
“They informed me that there were two shotguns and some narcotics in there, at that time the state probation officer asked me if I would run my K-9 unit through the home”, said Hernandez. “After the residence was prepped, K-9 Dixie was deployed inside where she alerted to a dresser inside the bedroom.”
Inside the dresser were two baggies of a substance identified as Methamphetamine.
29-year-old Jeremy Nucklos of the residence was arrested and charged with two counts of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, one count of Possession of Methamphetamine, one count of Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Marijuana, and one count of Possession of Schedule II Drugs.
Nucklos was transported to the Elbert County Detention Center after his arrest, where he currently remains in custody.
No word on if bond has been set or posted at this time.
