Elbert County School Board Switching Legal Firms

March 20, 2013

The Elbert County School Board is changing directions when it comes to their legal representation, well in terms of name only really.

According to School Superintendent Rick Higginbotham, one of the partners of the previous law firm recently left that firm, and formed a new one.

Gregory Doyle Calhoun and Rogers is the name newly formed practice, and Higginbotham explains his recommendation to transition to that law firm.

“Because of the fact that most of the attorneys we have dealt with over the last couple of years are remaining with Gregory Doyle Calhoun and Rogers, I would like to recommend we stay with this firm for now”, said Higginbotham.

The board of education approved the motion to make the switchover with a unanimous vote during Monday evening’s regular meeting.
