All schools will return to their normal schedules this morning.

However, the Atlanta-based Head Start program will remain closed until Monday, February 3.

Tuesday, February 18, has been designated as an inclement weather make-up day for students.

Elbert County School Superintendent Chuck Bell wanted to get this announcement out as soon as possible after Wednesday’s snow day.

That will ensure everyone in the school community has an opportunity to plan ahead for the month of February.

Bell said he was very pleased with the successful return to school yesterday on the delayed schedule.

He said it was impressive, after visiting each school site, to see how teachers and administrators were able to get the students refocused on learning.
