Elbert County Sheriff’s Office Investigating Two Theft Incidents

The Elbert County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a Felony Theft by Taking case, as well as a Burglary; both of which were reported to have occurred on Tuesday.

The theft by taking occurred at a Monroe Dunn Road address, where the owner reported that a 14K Gold Bracelet, a pair of Diamond Earrings, and seventeen hundred dollars worth of cash was stolen from the residence. The total estimated value of property stolen tallied just shy of three thousand dollars.

The burglary incident was reported in the vicinity of Campbell Street, where the perpetrator made off with several high value electronics, which include a 19” and 32” HD TV, a Blu-ray player, and an apple computer. The thief also managed to swipe a pair of tennis shoes on top of everything else. In total, over two thousand dollars was stolen from the property.

Both of these cases are currently being looked into by investigators with the Elbert County Sheriff’s Office.
