Additional charges could still be forthcoming for an Elbert County man in custody on several counts of Sexual Exploitation of Children.
According to Sherry Lang, Director of Public Affairs for the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, the GBI received a tip from the National Center of Missing and Exploited Children that 43-year-old Christopher Wayne Harrison had been uploading images of child pornography.
“The GBI executed a search warrant at Mr. Harrison’s address, and when they were at the location they found images of child pornography on his computer, and as a result of that he was arrested”, said Lang.
Harrison, of a 1589 Jaudon Road residence, has been charged with seven counts of Sexual Exploitation of Children as a result of the evidence recovered by the GBI.
Lang says that Harrison could potentially face even more charges as the investigation into this case continues by the GBI.
Harrison remains in custody at the Elbert County Detention Center where bond has been denied.
Once the GBI concludes its investigation, the case will be turned over to the office of the Northern Judicial Circuit District Attorney.
