HomeTown Health, LLC recently recognized Elbert Memorial Hospital as “Hospital of the Year” at its 2012 Annual Conference.
Elbert Memorial beat out a total of fifty-five rural hospital members from the states of Georgia and Florida.
Elbert Memorial CEO Jim Yarborough said he was proud of the Elbert Memorial team’s hard work in winning this award.
“We’re extremely proud to have been recognized by HomeTown Health for this annual hospital of the year award, and specifically we are proud of our hospital team”, said Yarborough. “That starts with our authority board that has had the confidence to support the changes that we have been able to make.”
Yarborough also noted the contributions of the other entities that are related to Elbert Memorial hospital.
“We’re thankful for the entire team which includes our medical staff, our hospital staff, our foundation board, and our auxiliary volunteers”, said Yarborough. “It just takes everybody pulling together in the same direction to accomplish what we have been able to do. I think this award is a culmination in all the work that has been done by the entire team over the last year or so.”
