Elbert Sheriff’s Office Recovers Stolen Bike

Late last week, the Elbert County Sheriff’s Office recovered a suspected stolen motorcycle.

Elbert County Sheriff’s Deputies noticed at 2000 year model Kawasaki Motorcycle at a Floyd Road address that did not have a license plate, and also noticed that some electrical wires were hanging loose on the side of the bike.

According to a deputy, it appeared that someone had been trying to hot wire the motorcycle, since the wires were bypassing the ignition switch and were running straight to the battery box.

Further investigation revealed that the bike was stolen out of Anderson, South Carolina.

The investigation into the theft continues.
