Elberton City Council Meets for Final Time in 2013 Later this Evening

December 2, 2013

It’s going to be an interesting meeting tonight for the Elberton City Council, as the council gathers for its final meeting in the 2013 calendar year.

Kicking off tonight’s agenda will be a public hearing for the purpose of receiving comments from the businesses in violation of the Alcoholic Beverage Ordinance of October and November.

Following the public hearing, the council will delve into its agenda for the regular meeting, in which only a couple of speakers are on the agenda.

Elberton Police Chief Mark Welsh and Mary Clark representing the MLK Committee are scheduled to speak.

Tonight’s public hearing and regular meeting begin at 5:30pm, and will be held in the council chambers at Elberton City Hall.

The Elberton community is invited and encouraged to attend this evening.
